Howard Slatkin: “When we look at what could be built on a site, we shouldnt be saying ‘does it match whats surrounding it?’ That’s the wrong question. If thats our plan, we’re going to perpetuate the systematic undersupply of housing around the city. The question we have to ask is: ‘how much can we build there in a way that’s compatible with, that relates well to the surrounding neighborhood?'”
