Our offices in Lower Manhattan were closed for a week because we were without power, and we lost our Verizon internet and phone connections for months. Our physical impacts were minor compared to what many others experienced – and continue to experience over 5 years later. Thanks to a generous grant from the Charles H. Revson Foundation we were able to devote our time and resources to identifying the most effective ways help the City’s most impacted communities.
