A new study undertaken by Citizens Housing & Planning Council and just released has found that a program where NYCHA transferred the management of six buildings to private developers have seen improvements in management and repairs. A joint venture between NYCHA, Triborough Preservation Partners and L&M Development Partners brought in $80 million for renovations and repairs. In an interview, Executive Director of CHPC Jessica Katz said “The injection of financial resources has been a game-changer for the families living in these buildings.”
