At the Marriott Marquis Times Square, on Thursday April 14th, we celebrated our 74th year at our Annual Luncheon.
800 industry leaders from development, banking, law, architecture, planners, government, and academia came together to network, eat lunch and to celebrate inspiring people and projects that are creating New Ideas for a New Decade; including the Arker Companies, the Hudson River Park Trust, GS Urban Investment Group, C.Virginia Fields and Artimus Construction. 51st Annual Luncheon 2010
On April 15, 2010, CHPC held its 51st Annual Luncheon, attracting more than 800 leaders in housing, planning, finance, and government. The Luncheon theme, TRANSFORMATION & RENEWAL, was about facing the challenges ahead while remembering all that we have overcome. From being symbols of urban decay, many of our neighborhoods have – through the efforts of those that we welcomed to the Luncheon – been rebuilt and transformed into thriving communities.

50th Annual Luncheon 2009
On April 2, 2009 CHPC held its 50th Annual Luncheon which attracted more than 800 leaders in housing, planning, finance, and government.
With extraordinary opportunities for networking with colleagues, renewing old acquaintances, and establishing new connections, our Luncheon will also present cutting edge ideas presented by our illustrious keynote speaker, Daniel L. Annual Luncheon 2008
On May 22, 2008 CHPC brought together hundreds of people from across the housing, planning, and community development world in New York City—and beyond—at its 49th Annual Luncheon.
Denise Scott, Managing Director of LISC, received our Impact Award for Excellence in Housing for the influence of her lifetime of work on housing throughout the City. Don Capoccia accepted our Impact Award for Excellence in Planning on behalf of the Schaefer Landing development team for their contribution to the revitalization of the Brooklyn waterfront. The Ibo Balton Community Planner Award went to Brian Cheigh, Deputy Director for Housing Development at HPD.…Read more
Annual Luncheon 2007
On May 24th, 2007, CHPC hosted its 70th Anniversary Luncheon. Nearly 800 of New York’s real estate, affordable housing, and community development professionals enjoyed the opportunity to network with colleagues, and honor some of the leaders in the industry.
This year CHPC, along with Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, instituted the Ibo Balton Community Planner Award. The inaugural recipient was Michael Polo, Director of Queens and Staten Island Planning for the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
